Hugh Cathey has 20+ years of senior leadership in managing all corporate functions, while guiding rapid revenue growth in the companies he has led. Since forming Columbus-Partners in 2003, He has implemented strategies with clients ranging in size from $1 – $150M in annual revenue. Clients are in several industry sectors; marketing services, healthcare, manufacturing, IT, and software. He has completed M&A activities for these companies as well as raising capital for growth.
Prior to 2003, Hugh served as President of Qwest Communications. From start-up in January of 2000, it grew to over $200M revenue within two years.
From early 1996 through January, 2000, he served as President of Nextlink Communications, a telecom company. Now known as XO Communications, it has revenue over $1B and more than 5,500 employees. Hugh currently holds several Board of Director appointments throughout the country, including both public and private companies, and a large nonprofit organization.
